The Front Garden

Our front garden enables children to explore the world around them and is often used for minibeast hunts or gardening as well as creative, imaginative and physical play.  The children love to choose what will be planted and use the garden tools and water butt to water, then watch as their flower, vegetable or fruit grows.

The front garden also has a digging area, water tray, sand tray, musical hideaway, large construction and so much more.

The Back `Garden'

This area offers different experiences for the children to learn from and enjoy.  They can develop their motor skills on the bikes, cars or climbing frame.  Alternatively they can sit in a quiet, shady corner with a book, or mark make using paint, pens, crayons, pencils or chalk drawing around each other's shadows!  The natural explorers may choose to explore the sand tray or experiment with floating, sinking, full and empty in the water tray or splash area.  Those feeling more adventurous may build their confidence as well as skills through practicing using stilts, hula hoops or the slide.  No matter what the child's stage of development, the staff at Snitterfield Nursery will support their learning in a fun, safe and caring environment.
